Just wanted to say thanks to everyone this season for helping me at my 1st attempt of football management. It has been loads of fun but i can understand why football managers become grey haired very quickly.

I have been around the football club for many years, living in Darenth and also as a player and now after early retirement am having a go as club manager.

Each week we are going to be creating match reports and updating the stats on each player, hopefully my views on the games wont be too boring and you will enjoy reading this page.

This is the first managers page i have written so i think that it is only fair to say some thankyous to people that have been helping me along the way this season.

firstly Stephen Todd, boss from work who has kindly taken over as club chairman and invested in new equipment. He has also put a lot of time in always at every match helping and is really not only a chairman but an assistant manager. He has supplied us with a lovley new adidas kit and paid for training pitches. There are plenty of other things he does day to day also but if i listed all these i would need another page. So to Mr Todd i say thanks.

Dave Carey, He has stayed on as club secretary and does an excellent job, both Steve and I thank him very much because we both know that we are not the easiest of people to work with. As far as admin goes im rubbish at it at work so you can imagine how bad i am at football. Dave does countless tasks for the team and we would be lost without him, so cheers Dave.

Brian Williams (dad) hes been a coach for years and years running County teams so has plenty of experience and plenty of grey hair. He has helped me out with the coaching and tactics on the side lines when ive needed help. So cheers Dad.

Joy Williams, Jan Matthews. Kit washers money collectors and fans. Every week washing and sorting out the kits so that all the boys look presentable.

Colin Matthews, club board member and another loyal fan, always at the ground supporting the club, always helping out, and can always be down the pub after the game playing darts.

Rob Wilkinson, One of last years players who has stayed on and has helped me out when ive needed it, helps with the admin and is a long term memeber of LEFC. Cheers Rob.

All the players, we have an excellant squad and i think now with results we are realising how good we are. I want to thank all the players both old and new, and hope you are enjoying all this as much as me. Cant wait till next season we will take some stopping.

So our first Season is over!!

Just want to say once again thanks to everyone who helped me make this 1st season in management happen. It has been loads of fun and although very hard work well worth it. I think we are all well aware how good we can be and what we can achieve.

I'd like to say a special thanks to Steve Todd for continuing to help out and get his hands dirty throughout the season, Dave Carey for doing all the paperwork and running the line, (ive got the new season forms now and can see how much work is involved) Rob Wilkinson for throughout the season helping with everything and my old man for helping with the training sessions.

A big thanks to all the players envolved throughout the season everyone has been brilliant, from the players that played every week to the ones who turned up last minute to help us out I say a special thanks.

I think we have the makings of becomming a really great club and with this season being much better organised can be a massive success and we will go on and win many awards.

We will be starting training on the 8th of June with the friendlys starting very soon so by the time we start the season everyone will be super fit, with the oppenents not knowing what has hit them!!!

So thanks to everyone and Good luck to everyone for the following season!!

Presentation Night

Last Saturday was Lanes Ends presentation night and I have to say what a great night, thanks to Steve for allowing us to use his house and for the quality BBQ.

I think the day was a huge success and underlined the great team atmosphere that we have at the club. Well done to everyone who won an award and good luck to everyone else who didnt for next season although you all deserved an award for last season.

Overall what a great day and well done to everyone who made it all the way through to 5am without dying of alcohol poisoning.
